Sedum is a lightweight method to create a green roof thanks to the modest substrate layer depth. Sedum or other succulent plants grown into low level substrates for construction on flat roofs and podium decks. Grown in a shallow layer of lightweight low nutrient growing media. Sedum roofs are extensive green roofs that have a media depth of 3 8 inches.

Regionally specific fll approved lightweight blends of inorganic and organic components are sourced and available for delivery in bulk small bag or super sacks totes. Sedum can withstand drought for example in very hot summers. Our xf301 sedum system incorporates plants that are grown to maturity and delivered to site within 24 hours of harvesting for immediate installation thus ensuring that they acclimatise quickly to their new rooftop location. Sedum is very resilient to diseases and insects pests.
