Seat Ibiza Door Handle Not Working

Secondly my first car is a 2007 seat ibiza 1 4 i ve had it since july and i love it.

The central locking button does not work. To remove these you need to unhook the pink in this vehicle plastic holsters and then lift the rod out of its respective hole. I ve tried to take the plastic boot housing off but i ve not managed to get it free as of yet. The inside handle should still work.

Using a file reduce the moulding edge of the driver s door lock barrel by 0 5mm see fig 2 1. The boot tailgate may not be opened. Now you can dispose of your interior door cover as you wish. To activate the system using the remote control press the lock button on the remote once.

The only thing left connecting the cover to the door should be the 2 rods connecting the interior handle to the locking mechanism and the exterior handle. You ll need to remove screws that are by the door handle arm rest under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don t want to break them. Similarly reduce the edge of the passenger s door handle guide by 0 5mm see fig 2 2. There is no key lock for the boot it s controlled via central locking.

When this system is activated it is not possible to open the doors normally from the outside or the inside. I ve had an issue develop in the last few days where my seat ibiza s boot won t open at all. The front two doors open fine. So all the door handles are locked it works fine.

The lock mechanism is buried under plastic. My drivers door has problems closing since seat replaced the door handle either they fitted the wrong handle or the cable is too tight because the handle has no gap i just push a little and the door opens the other doors i can push one cm before it opens. And because the handle is too tight the door doesn t close well.
